Wahhhhhhhh we have summer jobs in Madrid!!! And we LOVE it here!!Its soooo nice to be back. We lived here as kids with our family from 1993-1996. As we on Sunday walked through Retiro, memories of those days return. Walks in the park, twister ice-cream, tapas, the heat!!!
Even though we lived here for three years, I feel as if we are experiencing the city "from scratch" or I guess at least from a completly different perspective now that we are older! We are ofcourse UBER EXCITED!!! We are seriously worse than the stereotypical chinese turists who tours Frognerparken eight o´clock on saturday mornings!
So here is a little summery of some of the things we have done so far apart from working: jogged in the Retiro park, visited the Cripta at the Cathedral Almudena and the Palacio Real and celebrated Karis 21st birthday by eating tapas and dinner at Plaza de Santa Ana!! (We ate Spanish time....so definetly past our bed time!!) And oh I must mention that we have shopped in Grand Via! Sales started the day we arrived and the shopping is amazing!! Tomorrow we are however taking a shopping break and visiting El Prado and other museums!
